Kingsville driver charged in single-vehicle collision

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a man following a crash late Monday night.

Officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Erie Street South in Leamington, shortly after 11:30 p.m.

The lone occupant was not hurt, but after police spoke with them, it was determined that they had consumed alcohol.

The 37-year-old Kingsville resident was taken to a local detachment for further testing and arrested.

The driver has been charged with impaired driving and driving with excessive blood-alcohol concentration.

The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the driver's licence was suspended for 90 days.

The charges have not been proven in court. The suspect will have a chance to respond in a Windsor court on November 14.
