Windsor's diaper service to start in the new year

Windsor starts a new diaper disposal service pilot program in January, and it is telling parents and guardians how to register.

The diaper service is designed to support the city's transition to bi-weekly garbage pickup and weekly green bin service.

The service will run on a trial basis until the end of December 2026, at which time city council will review the results and determine whether to make it permanent.

People can register in two ways. They can call 311 or register online.

Once registered, households will need to place diapers in clear or translucent bags inside a hard-sided container at the curb. Otherwise, the diapers won't be picked up.
