OPP charge Kingsville man in child sexual exploitation probe

A Kingsville man will appear in a Windsor courtroom on Thursday after the Ontario Provincial Police charged him in a child sexual exploitation investigation.

The OPP, aided by the OPP Digital Forensics Unit and OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, searched a Kingsville home last Friday and seized several electronic devices.

"Protecting our children in today's digital world is a responsibility we all share," said Detective Staff Sergeant Chris Barkley. "I urge every member of our community to educate themselves on the online dangers young people may encounter. It is important to foster open dialogue with your children, set clear expectations, and take advantage of the available tools and resources to help keep them safe online."

Police charged 57-year-old David Frank Santos with three counts of making available child pornography, four counts of possession of child pornography, and four counts of accessing child pornography.

The charges haven't been proven in court.

The accused remains in custody until his scheduled appearance in the Ontario Court of Justice.
