Windsor firefighters spent much of Wednesday handling a fire in the east end.
Windsor Fire and Rescue reported a call from Benjamin Avenue near Tecumseh Road East shortly before 9 a.m. Crews arrived to find smoke pouring from a mixed-use building.
Up to 30 firefighters were on scene handling the incident. Fire was reported in a shed, extended to an attached garage at the rear of the property.

Light smoke damage was reported in the home and the restaurant attached.
Six people have been displaced. One person was treated at the scene by paramedics for chest pains.
The investigation into the cause is ongoing, but damage is estimated at $40,000.
