Windsor police's Arson Unit is looking to identify a suspect in a September 2025 fire that was deemed suspicious.
On December 18, police received a call from an insurance company about a September 7 fire, at a house on Festival Avenue near McHugh Street.
Someone set fire to a mattress in the basement of the house while the homeowner was out of town. Firefighters were called, but the fire had already burnt itself out.
Surveillance camera footage obtained from the house showed a person entering the home, then leaving soon after. The image is seen above.
The suspect is described as a male with a heavy build. He was wearing a grey sweatshirt, light-coloured pants, and black shoes with white soles.
