Town of Essex end Significant Weather Event

The Town of Essex has ended its declaration of a Significant Weather Event.

The event was put into effect on Thursday due to heavy snow accumulation, blowing snow, and cold temperatures.

Those travelling are warned that roads, sidewalks and trails may still be slippery. The statement adds that people walking or driving should remain cautious and travel according to the current weather conditions.

The towns are also encouraging residents to continue following the snow removal guidelines as snow clearing progresses.

The Town of Tecumseh has not revoked its Significant Weather Event declaration.
