Fatally-injured man found outside Windsor Regional Hospital

Windsor police say they are now dealing with the city's first homicide of 2026.

Officers were called at around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday to a parking lot at Windsor Regional Hospital's Metropolitan campus.

When they arrived, they found an unresponsive man with a "fatal injury." The man was soon pronounced dead in the hospital's emergency room.

The victim was 44-years-old, according to the police, who have not released his name.

The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.

Wanted man, woman found in Corunna apartment
