Victim robbed of $50K in jewellery

The Ontario Provincial Police in Leamington is looking for help in a robbery investigation.

The OPP reports a man, posing as a jewellery buyer, went to a home at around 1 a.m. Monday, in response to an advertisement.

The suspect brandished a knife and robbed the victim of around $50,000 in gold jewellery. He took off westbound on County Road 14 in a white 2025 Hyundai Kona.

The suspect is described as a 20-year-old Black man, approximately 6' tall with braids or dreadlocks. He was wearing a black "distress" hoodie with holes and light blue sweatpants.
