Windsor Fire and Rescue Service (WFRS) responded to two fires on Saturday morning.

Fire crews responded to a blaze at a duplex on Irvine Avenue after a call went out at roughly 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

According to the WFRS, the fire has caused roughly $500,000 in damages, two people have been displaced, and one firefighter sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators ruled that the accidental fire originated on the main floor of the lower unit and extended upwards.

The blaze followed another house fire on Josephine Avenue, which caused roughly $200,000 worth of damage, displaced seven people, and was caused by candles.
