Pacifica refresh celebrated at Windsor Assembly Plant

Stellantis celebrated the launch of the refreshed 2027 Pacifica with its employees at the Windsor Assembly Plant on Thursday.

The plant now employs over 6,000 people, with the addition of the third shift and 1,700 jobs in early 2026.

"We're now launching the new model year 2027 Pacifica refresh so obviously, we're making a big investment here. We just launched what was the North American Car of the Year [the Dodge Charger], and so these are recent launches that are built for the long term for us here," said Trevor Longley, President and CEO of Stellantis Canada.

The most significant exterior update to the 2027 Pacifica is the new front fascia with vertical LED headlamps.

"We need to make sure that we're making the minivan cool again. I, frankly, think that this is a really compelling visual update, and it comes with a better technology package and safety package as well," said Longley.

Earlier this year, Stellantis announced a reduction in the price of the 2027 Pacifica Limited and Pinnacle models.

"I think it's really right for the market right now and for those people with young families, many of us have gone through that phase before, it was absolutely an ultimate vehicle and with all-wheel drive, seven passenger seating and the new pricing we have it's the most affordable all-wheel drive seven passenger vehicle in Canada," said Longley.

The Windsor Assembly Plant has been building mini-vans for Chrysler for 43 years. It also builds the Dodge Charger lineup which was recently recognized as the 2026 North American Car of the Year.
