A fire at a multi-unit building near downtown Windsor late Thursday night has left five people looking for a place to stay.
Windsor Fire and Rescue say crews were called to Tuscarora Street near Marentette Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. The fire originated in a basement rental unit.
Fire officials reported on Friday morning that two people were treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and a total of five people were displaced.
The cause has not yet been determined, but the preliminary damage estimate is at $400,000.

Firefighters also dealt with a fire on Friday morning on Manzanillo Crescent, near Captain Wilson Park. The alarm came just before 10:30 a.m.
The fire was declared out at around noon. Investigators were at the scene to determine the cause and assess the damage.
