Roads to close Wednesday in downtown Windsor for Canada Day parade

Windsor's annual Canada Day parade is set for Wednesday and there will be some road closures downtown.

Starting at 8:30 a.m., Ouellette Avenue will close from Shepherd Street to Giles Boulevard. At 10:30 a.m., Ouellette will close from Shepherd Street to Wyandotte Street, and at 11:30 a.m., Ouellette closes from Shepherd Street to Riverside Drive.

Pitt Street will also shut down from Ferry Street to Goyeau at 11:30 a.m.

The parade gets underway at 11 a.m. at Ouellette Avenue and Giles Boulevard, travels north, and ends at Pitt Street.

Windsor Police ask drivers to use alternate routes. It will notify the public when roads have reopened.
