ENWIN crew to help restore power in Woodstock area

A crew from ENWIN Utilities has been sent to the Woodstock area to help with power restoration efforts.

Severe thunderstorms and high winds this week left around 90,000 customers in Ontario without power Thursday.

“As utilities across Ontario respond to significant storm damage, we are proud to support the collective restoration effort,” said Jim Brown, Chief Operating Officer - Hydro. “Through mutual aid partnerships, utilities work together during major outage events to help restore power safely and efficiently while continuing to maintain reliable service for customers at home.”

ENWIN is part of the Ontario Mutual Aid Group, which works with utility partners across the province to support a coordinated response to major outages.

ENWIN officials say the deployment will have no impact on the reliability of electricity services throughout the region.
