Man wanted for Windsor robbery arrested at Toronto airport

A man wanted in connection with a knife-point robbery back in December was arrested last week at Pearson International Airport.

The robbery happened on December 30 in the area of Tecumseh Road East near Forest Glade Drive. Two masked men entered the gas station, brandished a knife and stole some cash.

Last week, the Windsor Police Major Crime Unit said they contacted the suspect by phone and advised him of the charges he was facing. They say the suspect refused to co-operate with investigators.

The next day, the suspect was arrested at the airport trying to board a flight out of the country.

The 23-year-old has been charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, uttering threats, and possession of property obtained by crime.
