Man hits cruisers while fleeing Windsor police

An 18-year-old is facing several drug-related charges after an investigation by the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Unit.

On Wednesday, police found a vehicle associated with a suspect on Enterprise Way. When officers tried to arrest the suspect, he struck two police vehicles while trying to flee.

After the collisions, the suspect was arrested without further incident.

Officers seized $5,585 in cash during the arrest.

Later that day, police searched two vehicles and a home on St. Luke Avenue.

Officers seized 129.4 grams of crack cocaine, 1,420.3 grams of cocaine, 160.1 grams of crystal meth, and 46 oxycodone tablets, as well as digital scales and packaging materials.

The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $145,344.

The 18-year-old was charged with six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and fleeing from police.
