For the second time in a month, Windsor Police officers have found a 34-year-old man slumped over inside his vehicle.
Police arrested the suspect nodding off behind the wheel of his vehicle just before noon on Monday at the intersection of Bruce Avenue and University Avenue West.
The driver appeared impaired, and officers found drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. He was taken back to police headquarters, where he failed a drug recognition expert evaluation.
While at police headquarters, officers discovered the same man had been arrested on June 27 on Ouellette Avenue. At the time, officers found two unconscious people inside a running vehicle. The driver was found slumped over the driver's side window.
The suspect is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle by drug and driving while under suspension.
