Windsor police seek man in $20K theft

Windsor police are hoping someone can help identify a man in connection with the theft of thousands of dollars worth of photographic equipment.

The theft took place at around 5 a.m. on Monday, July 13. Police say that the suspect was seen riding a bicycle in the alley behind a home on Gladstone Avenue near Ottawa Street.

Security cameras caught the man gaining entry to a parked vehicle and taking about $20,000 worth of camera equipment before leaving the area.

The man is described as White, wearing a baseball cap, black jacket, and a "Coors Light" backpack.

Police have released images of the suspect, who is wanted for theft over $5,000.

Anyone with information on the man's identity should call the Windsor police's Target Base Unit at (519) 255-6700, extension 4350. Anonymous tips may also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for a cash reward.
