There are now three candidates running for the Mayor of Windsor.
Kat Pasquach and Benjamin Danyluk have already filed papers to run for mayor in this fall's Municipal Election.
Over the weekend, Ward 1 Councillor Fred Francis announced he is also running for council's top job.
"We are humbled and overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and messages of encouragement received since the announcement that I will be running for Mayor of Windsor," wrote Francis on Facebook on Monday. "I am committed to working tirelessly to make things better for all Windsor residents."
Francis is the younger brother of former Mayor Eddie Francis.
"Together, we can make needed change happen at City Hall," continued Francis. "We can make it more open, more inclusive, accountable, and more focused on the residents it serves."
Francis plans to launch his campaign officially soon.
Incumbent Drew Dilkens hasn't said yet if he'll run for a fourth term.
The Municipal Election is set for October 26.
