Lancers Coach Renews Contract

The head coach of the Windsor Lancers football team has signed a five-year contract extension with the Department of Athletics and the University of Windsor.

In a media release, Joe D’Amore says he's excited to continue what he started four years ago.

“We have taken big steps with this program and I am looking forward to build on our four straight playoff appearances," he says "We have a strong group returning and I am excited to begin the next chapter in our journey to a Yates cup.”

D’Amore led the Lancers into the playoffs in each of his four seasons as head coach. In 2014, the Lancer Football program finished the regular season in fourth place with a 5-3 record, and hosted a home playoff game for the first time since 2006.
