Spits Knock Down Bulls In OT

The Windsor Spitfires beat the Belleville Bulls 6-5 after making a comeback and forcing overtime.

During the game on Wednesday, the Spits took a 2-0 advantage in the first period. However, the Bulls came back strong in the second, scoring five goals to take the lead. The Spitfires made their comeback at the end of the second, scoring one goal, and then two more in the third to force the game into extra time. Spitfires centre Jamie Lewis scored the winning goal for Windsor in overtime.

Daniil Vertiy, Aaron Luchuk, Anthony Stefano, Lucas Venuto and Markus Soberg each scored one goal for Windsor.

The Spits will take on the Ottawa 67's on Friday at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
