Spitfires Down Bulls

The Windsor Spitfires were able to fight off the Belleville Bulls for a 5-2 victory on Sunday.

During the game, the Spitfires took a 3-0 lead at the beginning of the second frame. The Bulls tacked on two goals of their own in the second and third period, but Windsor ensured their win with two unanswered goals in the final two minutes of the game.

Slater Doggett led Windsor with two goals, while Markus Soberg, Anthony Stefano and Luke Kirwan each had one.

The Spits will take on the Owen Sound Attack on Thursday at 7:05pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
