Spits Can't Withstand Attack

The Windsor Spitfires fell 7-5 to the Owen Sound Attack in OHL action Thursday night.

The Spitfires took a 3-1 lead in the second period, but Owen Sound was able to tie the game going into the final frame. Windsor regained a one goal lead in the third, however, the Attack scored three more in the final ten minutes to leave the ice with the win.

Jamie Lewis and Logan Brown each scored twice for Windsor, while Luke Kirwan scored one.

The Spitfires are back on the ice on Friday to take on the Oshawa Generals at 7:35pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
