Spits Down 67's In OT

The Windsor Spitfires beat the Ottawa 67's in a 4-3 overtime win Thursday night.

The Spitfires took a 2-1 lead in the first period, but were down 3-2 at the end of the second. In the final frame, Windsor scored with less than a minute left in the game to force overtime. Trevor Murphy scored the game winner after 35 seconds of OT.

Murphy also scored one goal during regular play, along with Lucas Venuto and Cristiano DiGiacinto.

The Spitfires will face off against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on Friday at 7:07pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
