GLJHL Finals Could Be Close

The Great Lakes Junior C finals kick off tonight, as Amherstburg visits Essex.

The 73's beat the Admirals in three of their five meetings during the regular season, but Essex Head Coach Gil Langlois says his team has to stay out of the penalty box if it wants to have any success. "I think it can be a detriment if you don't keep those emotions in check, and this series will be fired up for sure, so it'll be even more heightened. The discipline is going to be a big factor for both teams."

Essex and Amherstburg finished first and second in the GLJHL this season.

The 73's have yet to lose in the post-season, while the Admirals have posted a record of 8-2 in the playoffs.

Puck drop is set for 7pm.
