WESPYs Announce 10th Anniversary Speaker

Long-time NHL defenceman Chris Pronger will be the keynote speaker at the 10th Annual WESPY Awards this spring.

The 40-year-old Dryden, Ontario-native says it's great to pay tribute to local athletes and the volunteers that help so many youth get into community sports. "From that, as they get to enjoy the sport, they gain a passion and a will to get better and they start realizing that they might have a future -- or maybe they're just using it as an outlet for whatever," says Pronger.

This year's WESPYs are expected to be held in April.

Further details regarding this year's event have yet to be released.
