After a scoreless first period, James Brooks and Mark Sobocan scored to give Amherstburg a 2-0 lead.
Alex Derksen scored halfway through the third period for the 73's to cut the deficit in half, but Admirals goalie Noah Hedrick made 25 saves to get the win.
