73's Could End Quarter-Final

The Essex 73's could move on to the Schmalz Cup semi-finals with a win in Exeter.

Game 4 is tonight, and the 73's have a 3-0 series lead on the Hawks. The puck drops at 7:30pm.

Going into the series, head coach Gil Langlois warned the Hawks were an unknown entity, but he's happy with his team's performance. "They've had some injuries of their own, and I think our style of play has given them a little bit of problems," he says. "The kids have stuck to the game plan and done a great job shutting down their big gunners."

Langlois says it's too early to say who the 73's will play next if they do end the Hawks' season tonight. The series between Port Hope and Clarington is tied at two wins each while Walkerton leads Alliston 3-0, and Grimsby has a 2-1 lead on Alliston.
