Murphy Makes Outstanding Player List

Windsor Spitfires defenceman Trevor Murphy is one of the finalists for the OHL's Red Tilson Trophy recognizing the most outstanding player of the year.

Murphy finished the 2014-2015 campaign with 63 points in 59 games including 24 goals. He led the team in points and assists as well as penalty minutes with 104.

Sarnia's Jakob Chychrun and London's Max Domi are also among the finalists for the Red Tilson award as is Erie Otters superstar Connor McDavid.

Former Sptifire D.J. Smith is among the finalists nominated for the Matt Leyden award for league's best coach for his work behind the bench of the Oshawa Generals.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
