DiPietro Could Be Early Pick

As the Windsor Spitfires gear up to make their picks in this year's OHL Priority Selection, at least one local name could be on their list.

Brendan Ross with TheScout.ca thinks the Spitfires probably have their eye on Amherstburg goaltender Michael DiPietro from the Sun County Panthers.

"He is arguably the best goaltending prospect in the draft," says Ross. "I know that the Spitfires are probably eyeing a goaltending talent early in the draft, so maybe as early as their second-round pick."

Ross adds that having some local talent close to Windsor would make it easier for call-ups as well. This year's draft is tomorrow (Saturday) and will be conducted online, but based out of Toronto.
