Spitfires Double Up On Firebirds

It's the first win of the pre-season for the Windsor Spitfires after coming out on top 4-2 against the Flint Firebirds.

Logan Brown had the winner for the Spits, his second of the pre-season, in front of 3,585 at the WFCU Centre on Sunday night.

Eight different players picked up points for the Spits with Cristian DiGiacinto getting a goal and an assist while Michael DiPietro made 26 saves for the win.

The Spits are on the road for their third of five pre-season games, taking on the Niagara IceDogs on September 16.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
