Lancers Fall To Ravens

The Windsor Lancers football team has fallen 62-16 to the Carleton Ravens and is now 0-3 in the season.

Saturday afternoon, the Ravens built up a 51-0 lead in the third quarter before the Lancers found the end zone. The Ravens conceded a safety late in the game to give Windsor their other two points.

Rookie quarterback Liam Putt threw for his first two OUA career touchdowns. Putt went 18-for-28 for 274 yards and three interceptions.

Beau Lumley finished the game with 188 yards on six catches, while Dave McDuffie had 41 yards in the air, 39 punt return yards and 92 kickoff return yards.

Windsor will try for their first season win when they face the Ottawa Gee Gees on September 19 at 1pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
