Express Show Off Championship Ring (GALLERY)

The Windsor Express are celebrating another championship in the National Basketball League of Canada with some fine wine and sparkling new jewelry.

The team unveiled its new onyx coloured and jewel encrusted ring while enjoying wine and food at the Vinoteca Wine Bar in Windsor's Little Italy.

The ring caps off another strong season for the Express which ended in controversial fashion as the championship win came through a Game 7 forfeit by the Halifax Rainmen.

A skirmish between players from both teams had the Rainmen back out of the game citing safety concerns. The league followed up with sanctions and fines leading to Tony Jones, the brother of Express head coach Bill Jones, to take over head coaching duties for the upcoming season.
