Fighting For Five In A Row

The Essex 73's are looking for their fifth straight win, as they host Alvinston tonight.

Head Coach Gil Langlois is expecting a quick, up-tempo game.

"(Alvinston has) good coaching and good goaltending too. They're pretty strong in their own end," he says. "We haven't seen them yet, this will be the first time this year, but we expect that they're going to come out at us hard."

Over the last four games, the 73's have only allowed four goals. Langlois says his players are doing a great job focussing on defence, and the team's goalies are turning in great performances.

Tonight is also Pink On The Rink night in Essex. The home team will be wearing pink jerseys, which will eventually be auctioned off with proceeds going toward finding a cure for breast cancer.
