Attack Snaps Spitfires Win Streak

A five game winning streak has come to an end for the Windsor Spitfires following a 3-1 loss to the Owen Sound Attack Saturday night.

After no scoring in the first period, both teams made it on the board in the second with one goal each to tie the game. The Attack came out ahead in final frame with two unanswered goals for the win.

Despite the loss, Windsor out shot the Attack 36-29, with Liam Murray scoring the only goal.

The Spitfires are back on the ice on Sunday to face off against the Niagara IceDogs at 2:05pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
