The Spitfires may have been up 3-0 in the first period, but the Spirit came back to tie the game 3-3 at the end of the second. Two more unanswered goals by Saginaw in the final frame gave them the win.
Aaron Luchuk, Markus Soberg and Christian Fischer each scored once for Windsor.
The Spitfires will take on the London Knights on Sunday at 2:05pm.
