Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – March 25, 2016

The Essex 73's now have a 2-0 series lead after defeating the Dorchester Dolphins 4-0 on Friday.

Matthew Hebert, Cody Schneider, Brett Vorshuk and Griffin McCarty all scored once.

The two teams face off again for Game 3 of the OHA Schmalz Cup quarter finals on Sunday at 7:30pm.

And in Junior A hockey, the Kingsville Kings fell 6-5  to the Tottenham Steam in a shootout, in Game 1 of the Russell Cup Finals.

Mathias Gardiman and Ludwig Niederbach both scored twice for Kingsville, while Branko Oktavec had one.

The Kings and the Steam return to the ice for Game 2 on Thursday at 7pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
