Spitfires Win Fourth Straight Game

Logan Brown led the Windsor Spitfires to a 7-2 victory over the Flint Firebirds Thursday at the WFCU Centre.

Brown scored a hat trick before the end of the first period, with Luke Boka scoring one as well to give the Spitfires a 4-1 advantage going into the second. Jalen Chatfield netted a goal for Windsor 6:43 into the second, followed by Jeremiah Addison who added another goal for the Spits nine minutes into the frame. Flint scored their second goal of the night, but Aaron Luchuk capped off the win for Windsor with a goal with just over a minute left in the period. Neither team scored in the third.

Spitfires goaltender Michael DiPietro made 28 saves out of 30 shots on net.

The Spitfires travel to London on Friday to take on the Knights at 7:30pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
