Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – November 1, 2016

The Essex 73's dropped a 7-5 decision to the Amherstburg Integrity Admirals on Tuesday.

Austin Jennings and Ryan Holzel led Amherstburg with two goals each, while Cory Burns, Jordan Luciw and Travis Campbell each had one.

Eric Shaw was lead scorer for Essex with two goals. Michael Vieira, Mitchell Holden and Anthony Cristofaro scored one each.

The 73's will travel to Wallaceburg on Wednesday to take on the Lakers at 7:30pm.  And then on Saturday, the Admirals are at home against the Blenheim Blades at 7:30pm.

And in Junior B hockey, the Sarnia Legionnaires edged the Leamington Flyers 2-1 in double overtime.

Josh Pope-Ferguson scored Leamingtons single goal during the third period.

The Flyers will battle the LaSalle Vipers next at home on Thursday at 7:10pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
