Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – September 14, 2017

The Flyers topped the LaSalle Vipers 8-3 in Leamington's home opener on Thursday.

Zach Guilbeault and Jake Nimmo led the Flyers with two goals each, while Griffin Robinson, Kade McKibbin, Maddux Rychel, and Nathan Skulley all had one.

Frank Zak, Tyler Russell and Brett Vorshuk each scored once for LaSalle.

The Flyers head to Sarnia next to take on the Legionnaires on Saturday at 7:10pm. And then on Wednesday, the Vipers battle the Chatham Maroons in LaSalle at 7pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
