Jr. Hockey Wrap-Up – November 30, 2017

The St. Thomas Stars and the Leamington Flyers ended their game in a 4-4 tie after double overtime on Thursday.

Josh Pope-Ferguson, Jake Nimmo, Maddux Rychel and Cody Schneider all scored once for Leamington.

The Flyers will face off against the Strathroy Rockets on Thursday. The puck drops at 7:10pm in Leamington.

And in Junior C hockey, the Petrolia Flyers edged the Lakeshore Canadiens 3-2.

Connor Rosaasen and Jake Bailey scored the two goals for Lakeshore.

The Canadiens now head to Dresden to take on the Kings on Friday at 7:30pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
