Jr. hockey wrap-up – September 27, 2018

The Leamington Flyers doubled the LaSalle Vipers 6-3 in Junior B hockey action on Thursday.

Maddux Rychel led Leamington with two goals, while Michael Andrews, Johnny Ulicny, Jake Nimmo and Kade McKibbin all scored once.

Zane Dalpe and Dylan Robinson each scored once for LaSalle.

The Flyers are in St. Marys to take on the Lincolns at 7:30 p.m. And Then on Wednesday, the Vipers return home to face off against the Chatham Maroons.

And in Junior C hockey, the Lakeshore Canadiens beat the Mooretown Flags 3-1.

Kolton Couvillon, Matt Smith and Steven Sartor scored the three goals for Lakeshore.

Lakeshore is on home ice again on Friday when they take on the Blenheim Blades at 7 p.m.

As well, the Amherstburg Admirals topped the Petrolia Flyers 4-2.

Josh Talerico led Amherstburg with two goals, while Bryce McGregor and Kyle Meloche both scored once.

The Admirals are back in Amherstburg on Sunday to battle the Wallaceburg Lakers at 7 p.m.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
