Jr. hockey wrap-up – January 31, 2019

The Leamington Flyers topped the Komoka Kings 4-3 in GOJHL action on Thursday.

Johnny Ulicny led Leamington with two goals, while Dylan Weston and Preston Corp both scored once.

The Flyers head to Strathroy on Saturday to take on the Rockets at 7:30 p.m.

And in Junior C hockey, the Lakeshore Canadiens shutout the Petrolia Flyers 5-0.

Andrew Thoms scored twice for Lakeshore, while Blake Bain, Jake Nimmo and Steven Sartor all added one goal.

The Canadiens return home on Friday for their final regular season game against the Wallaceburg Lakers at 7 p.m.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
