Jr. hockey wrap-up – February 21, 2019

The LaSalle Vipers edged the Sarnia Legionnaires 3-2 in their final regular season game on Thursday.

Stephane Crevier led LaSalle with two goals, and Brett Vorshuk scored once.

The Viper's playoff schedule has yet to be announced.

The Essex 73's hammered the Amherstburg Admirals 6-2 in Game 2.

Quinn Fazekas and Luke Gecse were the top scorers for Essex with two goals each, while Riley Meyerink and Josh Pope-Ferguson both scored once.

Andrew Clark and Ty Moss scored the two goals for Amherstburg.

The 73's lead the best of seven series 2-0.

The two teams face off in Game 3 on Saturday in Essex at 6:45 p.m.

The matchup between the London Knights and Erie Otters is taking place on Saturday at 4 p.m., and is a fundraiser for upgrades to the Brooke-Alvinston-Inwood Community Centre.
