Jr. hockey wrap-up – March 7, 2019

The Leamington Flyers beat Strathroy 2-1 in overtime on Thursday to eliminate the Rockets in Game 5.

Thomas Michaud scored the game-winner for Leamington OT, and Dylan Weston scored once during regular play.

Leamington beat the Rockets 4-1 in the best-of-seven series.

The Flyers will now move on to the western conference semi-finals.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
