Jr. hockey wrap-up - March 10, 2019

The Lakeshore Canadiens defeated the Essex 73's in Game 3 of the Stobbs Division Finals on Sunday.

The Canadiens started off strong with two back-to-back goals in the first period, both shot by Jake Nimmo.

The 73's answered back with a goal in the second period, scored by Luke Gecse and another in the third from Michael Vieira, tying up the game.

Dylan Bradley scored for the Canadiens, pushing them into the lead by one point in the third period and winning them the game.

The Canadiens lead the best-of-seven series 3-0 and can go for the sweep at their next game.

The puck drops for Game 4 on Tuesday in Lakeshore.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
