Jr. hockey wrap-up – March 12, 2019

The Essex 73's were able to stave off elimination with a 4-1 victory over the Lakeshore Canadiens in Game 4 on Tuesday.

William Stadder, Quinn Fazekas, Josh Pope-Ferguson and Michael Vieira each scored once for Essex.

Jake Nimmo scored the single goal for Lakeshore.

The Canadiens are currently leading the best-of-seven series 3-1.

The puck drops for Game 5 on Friday in Essex at 7 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
