Spitfires fall to Steelheads 4-3

The Windsor Spitfires were defeated by the Mississauga Steelheads 4-3 in Mississauga on Sunday.

Tyle Angle kicked off the game for Windsor with a powerplay goal 3:51 into the first period. Thomas Harley responded back with a goal for Mississauga tying up the game. Kyle McDonald scored putting the Spitfires in the lead at the end of the first period.

Steelheads' James Hardie scored 0:41 into the second period, followed by a powerplay goal from Cole Schwindt. Egor Afanasyev tied up the game 18:44 in the period.

Hardie scored his second goal of the game on a powerplay 8:20 in the third period, ending the game at 4-3.

Windsor goalie Kari Piiroinen saved 24 out of 28 shots on net.

The Spitfires will face off against the Kitchener Rangers at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
