Express defeat Magic 116-111

The Windsor Express topped the Moncton Magic 116-111 in NBL Canada action on Monday.

The Express jumped to an 11-point lead by the end of the first quarter and retained a 63-51 advantage as the game entered halftime. The Magic gain some ground in the third frame, but Windsor remained ahead with a 90-80 lead at the start of the fourth. Moncton inched even closer to Windsor in the final quarter, but the Express stopped them sort to win with a five-point lead.

Alex Johnson led Windsor with 30 points and 11 assists, while Sam Muldrow added 19 points and eight rebounds. Quinnel Brown also put up 14 points and had four rebounds.

The Express are in Halifax on Thursday to take on the Hurricanes at 7 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
