The Windsor Spitfires continue to bully teams across the OHL.
They hosted the Flint Firebirds on Sunday, winning 4-1.
Spitfires’ goalie Joey Costanzo and Flint’s netminder Nathan Day stood on their heads during the first two periods as only one shot would find the back of the net.
Liam Greentree got his 8th of the season in the first period with Noah Morneau and AJ Spellacy getting the assists.
Windsor’s offense woke up in the third period as they scored three goals. Ethan Martin scored his 1st of the season followed by Tnias Mathurin with his 2nd and Spellacy with his 5th.
Morneau, Greentree, Owen Outwater, Ryan Abraham, and Anthony Cristoforo each collected assists on the three goals.
Costanzo couldn’t get the shutout as Flint’s Xavier Tessier would get his 1st career OHL goal.
With the win, Windsor improves its record to 12-2-1-0, while Flint moves to 6-8-0-1.
The Spitfires' next game is on Thursday, November 7, at home against the North Bay Battalion.
