Spitfires score five to win Game 2 against Kitchener

The Windsor Spitfires are now up 2-0 in their series against the Kitchener Rangers.

The two teams faced off in Windsor Saturday night, with the Spitfires winning 5-1.

Opening the scoring in the first period with his 3rd of the playoffs was Ryan Abraham. Getting the assists were Cole Davis and Wyatt Kennedy.

The Spitfires doubled their lead later in the period when Conor Walton scored his 1st of the playoffs. Luke McNamara and Ethan Garden with these assists.

Noah Morneau added his 11th goal in the first period, giving Windsor a 3-0 lead. The helpers on the play went to Ilya Protas and Anthony Cristoforo.

Abraham would get his 2nd of the game in the second period from Davis and Jack Nesbitt.

Kitchener got on the board before the end of the period, thanks to Luca Romano.

Spitfires' captain Liam Greentree extended Windsor's lead and capped the scoring early in the third period with his 9th goal. Protas and Carter Hicks with the assists.

The two teams will face off in Game 3 on Monday in Kitchener. Puck drop will be at 7 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
